Just a quick li'l update:

Well a lot has gone on the past two days. Been working on my website, got my business cards ordered, networking a lot, receiving lots of ebay winnings!, and started working out. I don't know if I got everything but, in short, things are going along pretty smoothly.

 Now I've got to go to volleyball, maybe eat chicken n biscuits again, and hopefully hang out with Jason. If not, I will be working on wedding stuff for my meeting this Saturday and working on my website some more. Which I suppose I really should be doing anyway, rather than off having a good time.

Well, well, well...looks like things are definitely going in the right direction! Allow me to explain.

I met with the insurance guy recently, he gave me the phone number to the woman at the hospital that I need to get in touch with for promotional purposes. I hadn't called her yet, but he called her and told her about me, so she gave me a call this morning. I called her back and now I'm shooting some pictures for them at a roast this Saturday night! She said, "I was stressing about this Saturday but then [ the insurance guy ] called me and it was like God sent me a photographer!" So that was pretty cool. Feels good to be on track!

Alright now my ass has plenty of work to do, so I may be MIA for the week, but we'll see...have a good one!

Ooooh I think I have drank the -perfect- amount this evening. Just enough to go to bed and fall right to asleep and not too much that I can't talk to the few people that I'm talking to on IM. So today was excellent. Two great dinners, time with fam, nothing bad about that. Hope you all had excellent Easters.

Went to the bar tonight....hey I'm not religious, dont get on my case. Met some new people and met up with an old 'acquaintence'...really can't spell since i've been drinkin, hope thats close. So overall excellent weekend. Friday was spent out with Jason, his brother and sister and her boyfriend. We went bowling and then went to where my uncle bartends. It was a lot of fun.   

I have my first meeting with a bride I don't know on Saturday. I'm nervous as hell. But I think its gonna go great. And um....I'm wicked tired. I'm out! G'nite y'all. Better post coming soon, i hope

Oh goody another up late night. I'm sick of this. I actually have stuff to do tomorrow morning so that makes it worse. I laid down at TEN! and here I am up after ONE. Grrr...I'm not even thinking too much tonight, its absolutely an uncalled for late night!

I don't know if that medicine ever worked or not. I was awake until after Conan O'Brian. But I just woke up, so I got a lot of sleep in the long run. Messed up dreams came with it though. Sometimes they are fun, but I woke up kind of pissed off...so weird! And of course I've been dreaming about people I went to school with since watching that Hallmark DVD. Its kind of nice to "see" them again, even if it isn't real and in bizarre situations. Well, anyway, I'm off to shower and get a few things done. Have a good day everyone!

Ooooh I really hate it when I can't sleep. So much going through my mind. I was ready for bed at ten, talked on the phone for a bit at 10:30 and then *BAM*, not tired...well, tired, but not able to just drift off.

Today I read a book called the 6 week start up to opening your own business. It was really good, and I got a lot of good ideas and whatnot out of it. So all that is swimming through my mind.

Also, a to-be client called and confirmed our first meeting about their July wedding. April 2nd...I've gotta know all my shit by April 2nd...so that of course is all floating around in my head, too.

I took lots of notes but I keep repeating stuff so I don't forget or something. How do I shut this thing off?! Damn brain, anyway. I just popped some Tylenol PM for my headache, hopefully that kicks in real soon. I'm so glad I don't have to be up for anything tomorrow morning.

Oh yeah, the chicken n biscuit dinner was excellent...although Jason didn't come over to eat with me and I ate it out of a styrofoam to-go container.

Well I was on such a roll earlier. Now I've got a headache and am going nowhere with the whole business card thing. Got the insurance all taken care of, picked out the carpet swatch, ordered my new Mac computer [ that hurt a little bit! ], and redesigned my logo  --  all by lunch time. Now I've hit a slump, I think I'll call it a day...and not a bad one either, really.

Got most of my stuff taken care of yesterday. Bought a nice chair for a prop, just a nice looking bar stool. Anyone have a suggestion as to where I might buy a cheapish chaise lounge?? I want one sooooo bad to use at the studio but they pretty much seem to be running around 700 bucks at least. I was hoping for something under $400.

I've bought SO MUCH stuff off ebay for my studio, too. Its been fun, but a bit hard on the checkbook. I'm starting to think I'm going to go over my loan money, I gotta back off! Alrighty, I'm off to take some medicine, play volleyball, and go eat chicken n biscuits with Jason at the DV!! Mmmmm. Later ;)

Oh boy, today is gonna be bizzay! I've gotta write down all my serial numbers/descriptions of my equipment for the insurance company [ been putting that off waaaay too long, and can't find the paper we had to do at HIP ], gotta order some real business cards, hit up office max for that 10% off bag thing [ can't wait! I *love* office supplies ], hopefully join the gym that is in the same building as my studio, email some people that its been a while since my last one, feed/water/love my cats, and buy a new computer!!! I can't wait, I got some really good suggestions from an old HIP'er, and I can't wait to order it!

So I guess I'm off to get as much of this accomplished as possible...Later y'all

So its been a week...

Well, to start with, I can't move into my studio today like I was supposed to The carpet didn't come clean like they figured it would. So now they have to tear up the carpet and install a new one. So one or two weeks and then I'm in. Ehhh. Oh well, more time to prepare isn't all bad.

On the upside, I'm on stockvisuals now...you can check it out by typing my name in the search box on the homepage of www.stockvisuals.com . I need to work on getting more images on there though. Hopefully I'll sell something someday!!

Okay I just realized what a sour mood I'm in...Got too much on my mind right now. I'm gonna get going for now, and update when I'm in a better mood.

Alrighty, so how was everyone's weekend? Mine went alright. It would have been good if I weren't sick at all. Now I'm just getting worse it seems. I tried to get into the doctor today but they are booked. Hopefully they call if anyone cancels today.

Hmm, I guess I didn't really do a whole lot this weekend. At least as far as accomplishments go. Well I think I was pretty nice to my nephew...I'm not sure if thats an accomplishment so much. Sure that sounds odd, but I'm really not too great with kids for a very long period of time, but I did alright with James. His age [ 9 ] bores me. I'm such a terrible aunt :(

It seems that every time I go to a wedding I realize how I never want to have one or be in one. And I decided Saturday that I don't think I even want to photograph them. Maybe I was just in a mood, but thats definitely what I was thinking. I guess I just don't put much feelings/thoughts into weddings. They just seem pointless to me.

I'm starting to think that I will be one of those unmarried old women without children [ both by choice, mind you ;) ] and I just treat my pets like children. I already have 2 cats, so I'm working on that I guess. I dunno, I think that I could always live with some guy, but to actually be married...I think I'd feel stuck. Everybody always says "oh that'll all change when you find the right person" but, I don't think it will. I just don't think its me. I can't picture myself with a husband or kids. Plus marriage doesn't mean much anymore, everyone always just splits up anyway it seems.

I think these views disappoint my mother, she's all about throwing me a big ol' wedding. She never had one, and she didn't get any say in my brothers, so she really wants to get mine right. Which would be nice, I suppose. I have put some thought into getting married, like, I know that it wouldn't be very formal. I'm thinking my backyard would work nicely. Definitely -not- in a church.

Ew, thats about enough talk about that subject. So it looks like I won't be able to move out of my parents house for a while. I don't think I'm going to make enough money to get an apartment anytime soon. So that kind of sucks. I really want a place of my own. I didn't realize I was so attached to my bedroom until my friend left on Friday. As soon as she was gone, I was in my room for the whole day, and most of the weekend, too. Not like my room is all that exciting since my bed takes most of it up, but I love my room, and didnt realize that I spend so much time in there.

I'm pretty sure this post is getting long so I should probably check out now...Happy birthday shout out to Heather D...good day to all!

Uh oh. I think I'm getting sick again! :(  I woke up with my throat all messed up. And I can't seem to stay awake. I just wanna sleep all day. Which could be bad since we have to go to Buffalo around midnite to pick up Jason's cousin. But if I sleep all day I'll be able to keep him company on the way up and maybe sleep on the way back.

The weekends probably gonna be kinda busy, so I really hope this throat thing is just for today. Its annoying the piss out of me. Next week is gonna be fun, Jason has a five day weekend!

I wish it would warm the hell up soon. I'm sick of this 20 degree weather. And whats messed up is that it was 50 degrees on Monday and then like 15 the next day Can't be good for anyone. I wanna go south for a bit but probably won't have the time to.

Got my new D100 in the mail today!!! Woo hoo! So now I have 2 for weddings and whatnot. Now I wanna get a digital projector. Hopefully I can find a decent one for a good price.

Minus this throat thing I AM SOOOOOOOO HAPPY with everything in my life right now!!!!! I can't get over it. Its such a great feeling!

Well I'm off to eat some lunch and go back to bed to try and beat this thing.

Alright so I picked out a dark shade of purple because it matches the carpet and accents the trim/blinds.  I can't wait for it to get done!!! I wanna move in NOW!! :)

I also got my tax id number today!!! I'm legal! Woo hoo :D

Other than that Nikki and I went shopping and it was greeeeaaaaatt I found all kinds of stuff today and definitely have something to wear to the wedding Saturday now. Then we went to Taras to see her and her kids, then went to dinner at Renees workplace and then eventually went out to the Hotel to meet up with Stace. Lots of fun.

Now I'm tired and I need to sleep cuz I have to get up and take pics of Haley and Nikki in the morning! G'nite all ;)

Hmm, I'm not liking this update so much this time around. I prefer to see previous posts but I guess I'll probably get used to this.

Changed the eye candy, although I didn't put up the Lex guy for you Heather, sorry. Didn't find a good pic of him yet.

I got a few things accomplished yesterday for the studio, the electricity is getting turned on today and the telephone will be on the 18th. Now I can redesign my website and business cards with all the new info. I filled out the stuff to get my tax id number from Pennsylvania. Gettin a lot of crap out of the way :) and it feels gooood.

Today I have to go in and pick the paint for the walls, go to Wal*Mart, and go to Erie to buy a shirt for the wedding this Saturday. I really hope this weekend is a good one. Nikki's baby is soooo cute, I'm hoping to take some pictures of her sometime today.

Alright I'm off to eat some breakfast.

So I went in and signed the lease today! Even picked up the keys...I can't start moving my stuff in until the 21st, but that's alright, I still have stuff to buy and paint to pick out for the walls. Too much fun! I'll probably take some pics of it soon, and post 'em for you Heather :).

Tonight I have to pick up Nikki at the airport around 11:30. Its gonna be a bit of a late night, but thats alright I guess. Its just so damn cold and windy :(  I almost ditched the durango earlier on my way back from Corry, luckily I drove that bitch out of the drifted snow in the road. Ha yeah like I was a super hero. :-P Not even, but I bet I really scared that chick that was coming at me on the other side of the road!

Speaking of super hero, I've been watching too much Smallville. Well, I don't think there could be enough of it, actually. I really like that show. Its just so easy to get lost in episodes upon episodes at a time though. Oh well, its winter, theres nothing else to do. Someone gave me that excuse and I plan to use it to the fullest!

Well I'm definitely due for a post. Time to play catch up...

 Okay I went to the rental interview on Thursday, it went well, I'm supposed to get a call today to let me know if its yay or nay. I'm kinda nervous. Ehhh. If I do get it, I can't move in for 2 weeks because some maintenance really needs to be done, just painting and carpeting.

Went out on Fri & Sat this week. It was  sort of a special occasion. I didn't really drink the second night, so it doesn't  really go against my out once a week thing. Both nights went alright until the end. I was really mean to one of my friends Sat nite. So I feel bad about that, but its not like I didn't have a reason.

Tomorrow I am picking up my friend Nikki at the airport, she lives in Tennessee. She's staying Tues-Thurs. Hmm besides that, I can't remember anything right now but I'll post later about the rental space. Later

 Holy crap, its March already? This year is  f l y i n g  by!

I'm sooooo happy! It just seems like my life is working out the way its supposed to, and every aspect of it is fitting together in harmony. Everything in my life seems to be in tune and driving like a brand new RX8....ooooh what I would do for that car! Some day!

I do have this sore throat thing going on [ hopefully its not strep throat, which my dad had over the wknd ], but now I get to go to the new doctor's office and check it out. So that'll be fun. I'm curious how it looks.

Well I'm off to get this day started. I know its a little late, but I took some medicine for my throat that made me sleep. I actually have been getting better at getting up earlier. Not much, but 9 o'clock is alright by me! Have a good one y'all!
