EXCELLENT NEWS: I took Jagger into the vet on Saturday and he is doing GREAT! The vet was amazed and said 'whatever you are doing, keep doing it!' His blood sugar was 331 when I first took him in and Sat it was 57 :) He may escape the disease after all, we are going to keep him on the medicine for another month and then stop it and see if he stays normal or goes back to drinking too much water and laying around all day.

So this week is going to be pretty busy, Jason has claimed practically the whole week for his birthday so it messes up the schedule a bit, but it will be fun :). I'm going to wake him up tomorrow morning with some champagne and OJ to start the day off right, since thats his real birthday. It sucks that I'm feeling sick though. I've been having headaches, body aches, and jaw tenderness for the past day and a half or so. I hope I can get through the next few days without bringing down the fun level much. He just found out that he's been full time at work for nearly a year now and that he's getting all the paid holidays that he missed in his check today, so thats gonna be a good one. Plus, his office gives people their birthday off as a paid vacation so thats really nice, too! I haven't decided if I'm taking my bday off yet, I might...

Well this is all for an update for now, I have to get ready for a shoot. My mom is bringing in 3 of my nephews somewhat of a late Xmas gift to my brother and his wife. They are pretty crazy boys and I don't know how well they will behave...but I'm gonna make 'em!! :)

Just posting a pic of my fat-again cat Jagger. He's put on a lot of his weight back since going on the diabetic diet & pills...Heres a portrait of him and one to show you how much he loves to hang out in little boxes/baskets etc...here is hanging out in the basket that he barely fits in from the fruit basket my mom got us for Christmas...

I am -in love- with Rachel Hale. I got one of her books for Christmas and am beyond inspired to start kicking some ass in the pet portraiture area. I'm going to go against my lease and sneak a few animals into the studio to get started...I know bad, bad me...but sometimes you've just GOTTA. Look at this shot from her:

I love it for 2 reasons, 1) its just so damn adorable, 2) it reminds me of the last dog we had...Chelsea, she was 15 or 16 years old when she had to be put down a few years back. She was the most AMAZING dog ever. Too sweet and too cute! Love her and miss her...

So anyway, yeah, I kind of went throught a photo-slump last month, didn't feel like going to work, didn't feel like doing much really I guess. But after checking out that book and looking at lots of photos of babies and children lately I am re-inspired and ready to just take off with my business again. I hope this isn't a fad and I continue to feel so happy about it. I realized for the first time I actually WANT to take photos outside of work again. So I plan to get hooked up with a Nikon S3 so I can take it with me anywhere, all the time, cuz its so small. I'm excited to be excited about it again. I don't know what happened to make me lose it but I guess it makes me appreciate it more when its back.

So theres a decent amount of things going on in my life but I'm gonna stick to just this for now. I should be back soon to post again...maybe even today since I'm gonna be here allllllll day...if I can make it....long story...or maybe just unnecessary...I gotta quit rambling!!!
